Mogadishu (HOL) — Somalia and Kuwait signed three agreements
on Tuesday aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation
across multiple sectors.

Somali Foreign Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali, on an official
visit to Kuwait, and his Kuwaiti counterpart, Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Yahya,
signed the agreements in the Kuwaiti capital. They include the creation of a
joint committee to accelerate cooperation, an agreement on regular bilateral
consultations, and a memorandum of cooperation between the Saud Al-Nasser
Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute of Kuwait and Somalia’s Diplomatic Studies
Institute.

The two ministers also discussed the longstanding ties
between their “brotherly nations” and explored new opportunities for
collaboration, exchanging views on recent regional and international
developments.

Officials said the agreements are intended to deepen
political, economic, and diplomatic links while fostering skills development in
foreign service training.
