Beledweyne (HOL) – Ugas Yusuf Ugas Hassan Ugas Khalif, chief of the Hawadle clans, along with his delegation, was warmly received in the Halgan district of Hiiraan on Sunday. Their arrival is a significant prelude to the Chief’s forthcoming inauguration ceremony.
The delegation, which includes traditional elders, scholars, youth, women, and businessmen, traveled from the Bulaburte district, where they had been staying. Upon their arrival in Halgan, they were escorted to a venue that had been specially prepared for the event, attended by a large crowd of people and soldiers.
Officials from the Halgan district expressed their delight at the elaborate reception provided for the Chief and his delegation.
Ugas Yusuf Ugas Hassan is scheduled to continue his journey to Aano Shubo, on the outskirts of Halgan district, on Monday, May 13.
Additional attendees from the districts of Baledweyne, Bula Burte, Jalalaqsi, Mahaas, and Matabaan—all within the Hiran region—are expected to join in the inaugural celebrations.
