Sacad Ali was found with fatal stab wounds at the Ponderosa in Sheffield on Saturday

London (HOL) – Sacad Ali, a 24-year-old Somali youth, was fatally stabbed in Sheffield, England, marking another incident in a series of violent acts against Somali youngsters in British cities. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. GMT last Saturday at Ponderosa Park, according to South Yorkshire Police.

A 25-year-old woman, along with two teenagers aged 16 and 17, have been arrested in connection with the murder. All three are currently held in custody as the investigation continues.

South Yorkshire Police have increased patrols in the area to reassure the community and are appealing for witnesses. Det. Chief Inspector Ben Wood emphasized the importance of community assistance, stating, “We are still keen to hear from anyone who might have seen or heard anything unusual around the time of Saad’s death.”

The stabbing has caused Ali’s family to demand justice, reflecting the broader issue of gang-related violence impacting Somali youth in the UK. The police urge anyone with information to come forward, promising that all tips, regardless of perceived significance, could aid the ongoing investigation.

A police cordon was put in place in the park throughout Saturday and Sunday
