Mogadishu (HOL) – A delegation led by Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre arrived in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, on Thursday for an official visit.
Prime Minister Barre held a meeting with his Iraqi counterpart, Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, to discuss strengthening the relationship and traditional cooperation between the two countries.
Somali state-owned media reported that Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre will explore opportunities for economic collaboration, security engagements, and the need for joint efforts in maintaining regional stability.
The Somali delegation includes Minister of Finance Bihi Iman and Intelligence Director Abdullahi Mohamed Ali.
