The Leader of the Revolution received on Tuesday President Abdullah Yousif of the Republic of Somalia.
President Yousif briefed the leader about the situations on Somalia. He told him that the Somali parliament and government have moved to Baidoa city in order to secure peace and stability there.
During the meeting, President Yousif called on the leader to intervene in the peace process in Somalia according to the initiatives he presented to the Somali factions in the previous years.
President, Abdullah Yousif of the Republic of Somalia, member of the Conference of Leaders and Head of States of ( Cen-Sad) Community, his wife and accompanying delegation, arrived in Great Jamahiriya Monday evening.

Somali President arrives in Libya

The Somali President was accorded a grand welcoming ceremony at Meithega Airport where he was received by Maj. Gen. Mustafa Mohamed Al-Kharubi.
The Acting General Coordinator of Social People’s Leadership in Great Jamahiriya, a number of members of SPL’s in Tripoli Shabia, the Secretary of the GPC for Social Affairs, Secretary of African Affairs at GPC for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation, a number of Officers of Armed People and Public Security , took part in this reception ceremony. Heads of African diplomatic missions and the Ambassador and members of the Somali Embassy to Great Jamahiriya, also took part in this reception.
President, Abdullah Yousif in a statement to Jana reporter after his arrival, he expressed his happiness to visit Great Jamahiriya, indicating that this visit comes within the framework of continuous consultation and coordination with the Leader of the Revolution to keep him informed about the situation in Somalia.
” I am very happy to visit my second home, Great Jamahiriya and meet my brother, the Leader of Great AL-Fatah Revolution, Muammar Al-Gathafi. I will consult with my brother Leader and inform him about the situation in Somalia.” He added.
He expressed the resolve of the Somali people to accomplish peace, so that they will turn to the reconstruction of their country.
