China has banned poultry imports from the Republic of Djibouti, said a government bulletin released on Monday.
According to a joint bulletin issued by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, China will ban any direct and indirect imports of poultry products from Djibouti following confirmation of an outbreak of avian influenza H5N1 in a poultry farm in Djibouti.
The Djibouti Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Marine Affairs reported the outbreak to the World Organisation for Animal Health on May 27
