Dhusamareb (HOL) — Gunmen killed a man and his wife in a rural area between Adado and Godinlabe districts in central Somalia on Wednesday night, according to local residents.
The victims, identified as Ilmi Omar and his wife, were killed in their home by armed militiamen who quickly fled to Dhusamareb before security forces could arrive.
The killing is believed to be part of an ongoing tribal revenge feud. According to reports, the assailants also set fire to the couple’s house after committing the murder.
Residents have called on the Galmudug regional administration to investigate the killings, as tribal revenge attacks have been on the rise in the Galgadud and Mudug regions under the Galmudug administration in recent years.
