Mogadishu (HOL) – The leader of the SSC Khatumo, Abdikhadir Firdhiye, along with some of his council of ministers, met with the acting Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Chen Wendi, and other Chinese diplomats in Mogadishu on Tuesday.
The meeting focused on how the Chinese government could contribute to development and humanitarian aid in the SSC Khatumo administration areas.
Firdhiye noted that the Chinese government was the first to donate to the people of SSC Khatumo during the difficult conditions caused by the long-term conflict in Las Anod town.
The acting ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in Somalia promised continued support from the Chinese government for the Somali people, especially those living in the SSC Khatumo areas.
This meeting was part of a series of discussions the SSC Khatumo leader held with the federal government and international community members during his working trip to Somalia’s capital.
